Powers of Attorney

If you’re unable to travel to anywhere within the UK or anywhere else to make a decision or sign off important documents, you can give Powers of Attorney to an individual who will represent you in your absence, ensuring that your affairs are sorted out and/or important documents are signed on time.

Powers of Attorney can be given for virtually any matter whatsoever to a solicitor/individual; e.g. to manage property and financial matters. Therefore, choosing the right attorney is very important – it needs to be someone you can fully trust to manage your affairs in your absence. In many cases, people opt to give Power of Attorney to a friend, spouse, partner or family member.

Deed Poll/Change of Name Deed

It’s possible to change your name – whatever the reason may be – through a Deed Poll or Change of Name Deed. This means that your previous name will be renounced and the relevant authorities will affirm your new name. Our solicitor will help you draft a Deed Poll document, enabling you to prove to the relevant authorities and record holders that you have officially changed your name. The document also acts as evidence to reaffirm the new name you have taken. We make the entire process really easy for you from start to finish, taking all the worry off your hands.

Statutory Declaration

A Statutory Declaration is a formal statement made in a prescribed manner which affirms that whatever you have stated is true and to the best of your knowledge. The statement is made under the Statutory Declaration Act 1835.

It’s worth noting that Statutory Declaration is distinct from an affidavit as it is not administered under oath. However, it must be signed in the presence of a Commissioner for Oaths, Notary Public or a Solicitor. We will work with you to ensure that any statutory declarations you need to make are smooth and hassle-free.

You may want to make a statutory declarationfor any number of reasons – e.g. for sponsoring an individual to enter the UK, making a statement in Court where no evidence is available, or regarding issues around Landlords/Tenants where no documentary evidence is available to support your case. However, statutory declarations can also be made for declaring insolvency, change of name, identity confirmation and travel purposes.

No matter what the purpose, our solicitor will assist you through the entire process, ensuring complete peace of mind.

Accommodation Reports

We prepare Accommodation Reports for Entry Clearance purposes to verify that the sponsors’ accommodation satisfies the current requirements under the Housing Act to accommodate an individual or individuals upon their entry into the United Kingdom.
Such reports are necessary if you are making an applicationto help your spouse, fiancé, children, parents or dependent relatives to enter the UK.
